Summer
Internship
The 12Stone Church Summer Internship is a 10-week experience designed to give you hands-on ministry involvement along with personal coaching and development.
SUMMER Internship
The Summer Internship at 12Stone is not your typical internship experience. Our summer interns are deeply involved in Wednesday and Sunday ministry environments across the campuses of 12Stone Church.
As a valued member of the team, you’ll have the opportunity to own your role in ministry in a meaningful way. Our goal is to give you valuable experience across multiple ministries and engage you in a thriving church culture. Your primary focus will be Student Ministry, Children’s Ministry, or Spiritual Formation.
4 core
There is no better way to grow passion for the local church than to experience the work needed to serve and grow the church. Each intern will gain real ministry experience and ownership over the course of their 10 weeks. All interns will participate in student ministry, as well as in the planning, leading, and execution of CAMP, our summer student ministry conference. In addition, each intern will also be able to choose a Sunday ministry focus in children’s ministry, spiritual formation, or a combination of both ministry areas.
While ministry experience and skill development is critical to effectively lead in the church, the groundwork to deepen character and grow in relationship with Jesus is essential for a lifetime of service and calling to the Kingdom. Each intern will regularly engage in one-on-ones with a 12Stone pastor who will serve as their coach in beginning the journey toward.
The Pastoral Leadership Curriculum is unpacked during a weekly training meeting and gives valuable insight into different types of pastoral leadership. The curriculum covers Self Leadership, Relational Leadership, and Organizational Leadership.
Being part of a healthy culture is contagious. Residents benefit greatly from being invited into a staff and church culture that is thriving and healthy. Within this context, they pick up nuances and attitudes that separate winning teams from other teams.
Your Experiences
At 12Stone, our interns are fully engaged in the ministry experience. You won’t just be doing coffee runs (although there will be some of that; we love coffee.) You may find yourself being an MC, making announcements and leading games at our Wednesdays Student Ministries or in Kids Ministries. You’ll also shadow-serve on various Guest Experience teams. And then there’s CAMP, our 12Stone student ministry conference serving approximately 1300 students and 700 adults. At CAMP you’ll be involved in everything from planning and set-up to volunteer training and owning or co-owning your own teams and roles.
